Training includes courses in the following: Resume Development – This course will cover the components of a cover letter, the process for developing a resume, and the different types of resumes. Students will evaluate different resumes and ultimately, create a personal template for a cover and a resume that they can use when applying for a job. Interviewing Techniques – Topic for this course include:

• The components of an ideal interview
• Understanding the mind of an interviewer
• What to expect during the interview
• The art of conversation during the interview.
• Types of interview questions
• How to answer difficult interview questions

Job Search Assistance – Using the cover letter and resume created, student will receive assistance as they apply for job in their desired profession. Based on job requirements notifications, their cover letter and resume will be sent to the businesses selected by the student. The O’NET Interest Profiler assessment will be given prior to training. Participants who complete the training will receive a certificate.

AECC Career School offers a comprehensive Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) program designed to prepare students for professional roles in the healthcare industry through a structured blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application. The curriculum is delivered via a combination of classroom and clinical instruction, ensuring that learners gain both the foundational understanding and the hands-on experience necessary for success. With a total program duration of 96 hours, the training is divided into 88 hours of classroom instruction and 8 hours dedicated specifically to skills training. This balanced approach allows students to absorb critical concepts in a controlled academic setting before applying them in practical scenarios, fostering a deeper comprehension of pharmacy operations and patient care standards. The educational experience is further enriched by the expertise of the instructional staff, who bring diverse and relevant professional backgrounds to the classroom. Instructors such as Ms. Patrice Sanders and Mrs. Leah Singleton are certified pharmacy technicians with extensive experience, while Ms. Detrich Smith contributes her background as an EMT and health educator, and Ms. Roxanne Solis provides nursing expertise. This multidisciplinary faculty ensures that students receive well-rounded instruction that covers not only pharmacy-specific tasks but also broader health and safety principles. The presence of licensed and certified professionals who are registered in both Arkansas and Texas adds credibility to the program and exposes students to high industry standards. Students will engage with a robust curriculum that covers essential topics ranging from basic nursing skills and emergency procedures to the intricacies of the respiratory, urinary, reproductive, and immune/lymphatic systems. The program also addresses critical areas such as activities of daily living, rehabilitation and restorative services, cognitive impairment, and mental health and social needs. By including life directives and social needs in the coursework, AECC Career School ensures that students develop a holistic understanding of patient care, which is vital for pharmacy technicians who often interact with individuals facing various health challenges. This comprehensive content prepares graduates to handle diverse situations with competence and empathy. To accommodate different schedules and learning preferences, the program offers flexible scheduling options, including day and night classes that meet over an eight-week period. Day sessions are held on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 9:00 a.m., while night classes take place on the same days from 5:00 p.m. This flexibility allows students to balance their education with other commitments. Additionally, the program incorporates the O’NET Interest Profiler assessment prior to training, helping participants align their career interests with the demands of the pharmacy technician role. Upon successful completion of the 96-hour training, students receive a certificate, marking their readiness to pursue certification and employment in the field.
