Esthiology (750 Hours) is a Diploma program offered by Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes in Dallas, TX. The program takes 25 weeks to complete, with a total tuition of $12,550.
Program Overview
Calling all natural skincare enthusiasts: the Esthiology (esthetician) program at Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute Dallas is a premier education in a premier setting. Our Esthiology program is designed to prepare you for a successful career in skincare and wellness, incorporating the exceptional sustainable, plant-based line of products the Aveda name is known for.
Also known as esthetics, your esthiology training primarily covers skincare treatments, such as facials, cleansing, and masking. Additionally, you’ll learn about makeup application, hair removal, aromatherapy, nutrition, color psychology, safety and sanitation, and more. Learn more about how we touch future skincare specialists in our Dallas campus.
At Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute – Dallas, the bulk of the Esthiology program (225 hours) is on skincare treatments, including facials, cleansing, masking, and therapy. Students also learn to apply makeup (75 hours), use and operate esthiology tools (75 hours), perform hair removal treatments (25 hours), and understand aromatherapy (15 hours).
The remaining 335 hours of instruction are on topics critical to your success as a skincare professional, such as chemistry and anatomy, salon management, nutrition and wellness, and safety and sanitation.
The cornerstone of your esthetician training is experience using Aveda’s patented, all-natural beauty and wellness products. When you graduate, you’ll have all the skills of a beginning esthetician, with the added benefit of knowing how to select, use, and sell Aveda’s popular beauty and wellness products.
The curriculum provides skin care training with an emphasis on using pure plant and plant essences in treatment. The objective of this program is to prepare students for the state licensing examination in esthetics. Upon completion, students will have the skills to seek employment as a skin care specialist with the knowledge of Aveda products and spa techniques.
