At Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute’s Seattle campus, our esteemed Esthetics program is an educational destination for aspiring skincare professionals. In the heart of the Pike/Pine district, our Esthetics students learn the fundamentals to set themselves up for a successful career in the ever-evolving field of skincare.

The curriculum of our Esthetics program at the Seattle campus covers theoretical and practical knowledge and skills through three distinct phases: earth, fire, and infinity.

The earth phase offers an introduction to facials. Covering 285 hours, you’ll explore facials and masks, massage basics, skin physiology, and anatomy and physiology. You also dive into the attributes of a healthy mind and body and other essential topics like client care and the spa experience.

The fire phase, also 285 training hours, is dedicated to waxing and body treatments. You will learn essential skills in facials, makeup theory, hair removal theory, exfoliation, and chemistry and product knowledge.

The curriculum provides skin care training with an emphasis on using pure plant and plant essences in treatment. The objective of this program is to prepare students for the state licensing examination in esthetics. Upon completion, students will have the skills to seek employment as a skin care specialist with the knowledge of Aveda products and spa techniques.
