What is california barbering, and what does a barber do?
California barbering is the professional practice of men’s grooming services performed by a licensed barber in the state of California. A barber is trained to perform a wide range of services, including haircuts, shear and clipper cutting, beard design, shave services, men’s facials, hair coloring, and chemical treatments such as permanent waving and chemical straightening. In California, barbers must complete an approved training program and pass the California Barbering state license exam before practicing professionally. Barbering blends technical precision with creative artistry, and it’s a field that has seen renewed appeal thanks to evolving trends in men’s grooming and personal style.

What is the difference between in-person courses and hybrid programs?
In-person courses involve attending classes physically at our beauty school campus. Students benefit from direct, hands-on instruction and interaction with instructors and peers. In-person courses provide an immersive learning experience and the opportunity to practice techniques in a real salon or spa setting. On the other hand, hybrid programs combine in-person and online learning. Students can complete theoretical coursework and certain assignments online, while practical training and hands-on experience are still conducted in-person. Hybrid programs offer flexibility, allowing you to balance your studies with other commitments while still receiving valuable in-person instruction.
What are the advantages of choosing a hybrid program?
Hybrid programs provide a flexible learning option that accommodates students’ busy schedules. They offer the convenience of online learning for theoretical aspects, while maintaining the crucial hands-on training component through in-person sessions. Hybrid programs can be particularly beneficial for students who may have work or family commitments that make attending traditional in-person classes challenging. This format allows students to personalize their learning experience while still receiving essential practical training under the guidance of our experienced educators.
