Technical Studies - Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC), AAS

This program is designed for students who have successfully completed technical training in Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning and received their Career Studies Certificate. This is a pathway for these students to continue their studies and attain an associate’s degree with the goal of advancement opportunities and increased wages in their intended career field. The technical specialization component of the AAS combined with the additional instruction and an internship opportunity is designed to ensure students acquire professional skills and workplace experience to become proficient and employable in their desired career field or discipline. Individuals are eligible for admission to CVCC if they are high school graduates or the equivalent, or if they are eighteen years of age or older and able to benefit academically from study at the community college, as demonstrated by assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics. Students with deficiencies in English or Mathematics will be required to take appropriate developmental courses. Students should schedule an appointment with a counselor to discuss these admission requirements. All students expected to complete the requirements for a degree, diploma, certificate, or career studies certificate must complete an Application for Graduation.
