Program Overview

The A.A.S. degree program in Cloud Computing provides education and training for individuals interested in developing the knowledge, skills and concepts necessary to serve as a cloud support technician. Upon completion of the program, students will develop the fundamental skills necessary to support and manage infrastructure and workloads on cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure. The Cloud Computing Associate Degree includes course work in key areas: Introduction to computers, fundamentals of cloud computing, cloud deployment and infrastructure management, cloud database technologies, cloud networking and security, server support concepts, Linux, and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell. Fundamentals of Cloud, Security, and Networking technologies are stressed with a focus on implementation and support skills. This program is a THECB approved Program of Study (POS).
