Program Overview
The Level I Certificate combines classroom teaching with supervised clinical and field experience for those seeking certification as an Emergency Medical Technician – Basic with the Texas Department of State Health Services. Upon successful completion of all course work for the certificate, the student is eligible to take the exam for registration as an Emergency Medical Technician – Basic through the National Registry of EMT. Upon successful completion of that examination, the student is eligible to apply for certification as an EMT-Basic in the State of Texas.
