Program Overview
The A.A.S. degree in Accounting is designed to prepare students for various career opportunities in accounting. Emphasis is placed on accounting procedures and generally accepted accounting principles. This program is intended to provide a foundation on which the graduate can build an accounting career through expanded experiences and/or further education. Completing the courses on this degree also completes the Accounting Assistant (AA) and Accounting Clerk (AC) Certificates. The student should apply for each certificate as it is completed.
