Program Overview

Every industry uses cloud computing and every day more and more organizations are moving their systems to the cloud or expanding them.

This means that IT professionals who can design, deploy, secure, and maintain cloud computing systems are in high demand.

Dunwoody’s two-year degree in cloud computing provides you not only with hands-on training in the latest technologies, but also a core set of skills and knowledge that will help you keep up with this ever-changing field.

In your cloud computing engineering courses you will gain experience with the major cloud environments, including Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Red Hat. You’ll learn to build and maintain networks and servers, how to keep those systems secure, and support the people who use them.

You’ll also learn how to automate elements of cloud computing systems and manage virtualization.

Classroom Experience: the classes for your major will include twice the time working on hands-on projects as compared to the time you spend in lecture. You will also be issued a laptop with the necessary software and computing power to be your own personal sandbox for setting up and learning about cloud systems.

Industry Certifications: the materials you study in this degree program will help you prepare for several industry certifications (including AWS, Red Hat, and more) should you decide to pursue them. Faculty can help you determine which ones are best for you and how to prepare for them.

International Students. This program is an official STEM Designated Degree Program, as listed by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) qualifying it to fulfill the STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) extension requirement for the F-1 student visa.

Cybersecurity Bachelor Completion Degree Option. This degree transfers directly into Dunwoody’s Bachelor of Science in Cybersecurity.
