Training in instructional methods for teaching cosmetology, hair design, barbering, manicuring, esthetics and master esthetics.
Curriculum
Theory; classroom presentation and evaluation; student and clinic application; lesson-plan development; and professional development. Applicants must be licensed in the field they intend to teach.
Program Schedule
Scheduled Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Everett/Renton and Yakima; the two future starts published after 2026-08-14 are for Everett/Renton. Up to 50% of training may be delivered through distance education.
Admission Requirements
- Be older than 16.
- Provide qualifying proof of high-school completion or a published equivalent.
- Provide valid state- or federal-issued photo identification.
- Apply, interview and be accepted for the chosen program.
Instructor applicants must also provide a valid operator license in the field they intend to teach.
