Program Overview
Training in cutting, braiding, shaving and styling hair, preparing students for entry-level barbering services.
Curriculum
Theory; shampoo; scalp and hair analysis; haircutting; wet, dry and thermal styling and braiding; facial-hair cutting and trimming; artificial hair; disinfecting; diseases and disorders; safety and first aid; and professional development.
Program Schedule
Scheduled at North Seattle - Shoreline in combined afternoon/evening cohorts. Up to 50% of training may be delivered through distance education.
Admission Requirements
- Be older than 16.
- Provide qualifying proof of high-school completion or a published equivalent.
- Provide valid state- or federal-issued photo identification.
- Apply, interview and be accepted for the chosen program.
