Program Overview

Computer Program Design offers a technical certificate and associate of applied science degree option. Courses are available face-to-face or mostly online. High school seniors and juniors are also eligible to apply to this program. The technical certificate is a one-year program. Technical certificate graduates will have the knowledge and skills needed to identify operational problems and design solutions using programming languages and productivity software. The associate of applied science (AAS) degree is a two-year program that contains technical and general education courses. AAS graduates will also be able to identify operational problems and design solutions using advanced programming techniques. Additionally, they will be able to troubleshoot, repair, maintain and support computer hardware following business and industry standards. Academic Partnership: FHTC students who complete an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Program Design may be eligible to utilize a 2+2 agreement with the following institutions to further their education.
