Program Overview
Nursing is a challenging, rewarding career. A nationwide nursing shortage means great career opportunities are available. Accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), our nursing AS degree program takes four semesters, and graduates are eligible to take the National licensing exam NCLEX. All non-nursing courses must be completed with a minimum grade of "C" before entering into the final semester of the nursing program.
A student who is determined to be unsafe in the clinical component of any nursing course may, at the discretion of the nursing faculty, be immediately barred from continuing in the program. In addition any student who fails to follow guidelines related to credentialing policies, drug tests and background checks may be removed from the program.
