Mission/Purpose Statement: The mission of the construction management technology program is to offer a strong academic and applications-based program necessary to produce well-educated graduates who become innovative and productive members of society. Students will possess both the problem-solving skills and the fundamental soft skills needed in the modern workplace. Students will be prepared in the areas of estimating, cost control, project management and safety. Additionally, students will be prepared to accept and succeed in managerial positions in the field of construction management.
Goals: - Prepare students for plan reading and material application - Prepare students for cost estimating using current rates and/or software - Prepare students to budget and manage resources for profit - Prepare students to have interpersonal skills for field supervision and teamwork.
