Biomedical Sciences (Pre-Physician Assistant)

The program follows Keiser University's one-class-at-a-time model, with courses delivered in four-week terms and new classes starting every month. The Pre-PA concentration is offered on campus at select Florida locations, including Fort Lauderdale, Jacksonville, and Tampa. This bachelor's degree is designed as a pre-professional pathway: its primary outcome is preparing graduates to apply to and succeed in physician assistant (PA) graduate programs. Certified physician assistants practice across specialties such as primary care, emergency medicine, surgery, pediatrics, dermatology, mental health, and urgent care.

Because it delivers a strong science foundation, the degree also positions graduates for roles in medical research, healthcare education, and other biology-based positions while they pursue graduate admission. Note that PA licensure requires completion of an accredited PA graduate program and passing the national certification exam (PANCE); this bachelor's degree itself does not confer PA licensure or certification eligibility.

Expect a science-intensive, lab-heavy course load taken one class at a time in four-week terms. Early terms build your foundation in general and organic chemistry, physics, and anatomy and physiology, before you advance into upper-division subjects like microbiology, genetics, molecular biology, immunology, epidemiology, and pathology.
