Cloud and Computing Technology

The program follows Keiser University's signature one-class-at-a-time model: students take a single course during each four-week term, with new classes starting every month. This structure lets students concentrate fully on one subject before moving to the next.

The degree requires 60 credit hours and takes approximately 20 months to complete (this varies for students who transfer in eligible credits). Of the 60 credits, roughly 36 are major/core computing courses and about 24 are general education. Tuition is charged per 16-week semester based on scheduled credit hours.

The program is delivered in a hybrid format that combines on-campus and online instruction, with hands-on lab work in cloud environments, virtual networks, operating systems, and security tools. Class times and availability (day, evening, or online) vary by campus.

The curriculum combines major computing courses with general education requirements. Representative major courses include Hardware Support, Operating System Support, Introduction to Networks, IT Service Support, Introduction to Virtualization, Introduction to Security, Network Support, Security Support, Web Fundamentals, Linux Essentials, IT Scripting, and Cloud Essentials.

Required Courses

Keiser University charges tuition per 16-week semester based on scheduled credit hours. At the full-time rate (12–17.99 credits), tuition is approximately $12,408 per semester (per Keiser's Undergraduate Tuition & Fee Disclosure; subject to annual review). Because this 60-credit program is structured one class at a time over four-week terms and typically spans about 20 months, a full-time student would expect roughly five full-time semesters, for an estimated program tuition of about $62,040. Financial aid is available to those who qualify. Graduates are prepared for entry-level roles in cloud support and information technology across many industries. Typical positions include cloud support associate, cloud administrator, cloud operations technician, junior cloud engineer, IT support specialist, help desk technician, network support technician, systems support technician, desktop support technician, IT service desk analyst, and security support specialist.

The program also helps students prepare for professional industry certifications in areas such as cloud fundamentals, Linux, networking, and computing security, and it provides a foundation for those who choose to continue toward a bachelor's degree in cloud, computing, or information technology. This associate program does not lead to a state license.
