Admission includes Keiser University's general requirements plus any program-specific requirements listed below, followed by the university's monthly-start application process.

The Bachelor of Science in Health Science follows Keiser's one-class-at-a-time model, with courses delivered in four-week terms and new classes starting every month. The full bachelor's degree comprises 120 credit hours; as a degree-completion program, students transfer in credit from a prior allied health associate degree and complete the remaining 60 credit hours at Keiser.

The full program spans roughly 40 months, while most degree-completion students finish the additional coursework in about 20 months. Classes are available online, on campus, and in hybrid formats at select locations, with day and evening options at some campuses. Because this is a non-clinical, administration- and leadership-focused degree, there is no required clinical rotation or externship; students progress by completing each course in sequence while maintaining Keiser's satisfactory academic progress standards.

The curriculum combines a health science major core with upper-division general education, covering healthcare financing, public policy, leadership, epidemiology, research methods, and health law and ethics. Representative courses are listed below.

Required Courses

Keiser University charges tuition per 16-week semester based on scheduled credit hours. Full-time enrollment (12–17.99 credits) is approximately $12,408 per semester (per Keiser's Undergraduate Tuition & Fee Disclosure; subject to annual review). As a degree-completion program, students complete about 60 credit hours at Keiser, roughly four full-time semesters, for an estimated tuition of about $49,600 for the completion portion (transferred associate-degree credits are not charged by Keiser). New students also pay a one-time $55 application fee and a one-time $145 registration fee at enrollment. Financial aid is available to those who qualify and may include the Federal Pell Grant, FSEOG, Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans, Direct PLUS Loans, and Federal Work-Study, along with Florida's FSAG and EASE grants, institutional scholarships, and veterans and military education benefits. The Bachelor of Science in Health Science prepares graduates to move into leadership, management, education, and policy roles across a wide range of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, long-term and managed-care organizations, public health agencies, research institutions, and health-related businesses.

Graduates pursue positions such as health services manager, patient care coordinator, clinical research or clinical trials coordinator, health educator, public health specialist, medical laboratory supervisor, healthcare quality-improvement specialist, health informatics professional, compliance officer, and wellness program administrator. The degree also establishes the academic foundation needed to pursue graduate study in health administration, public health, or related fields.

This is a non-clinical administrative and leadership degree, so it does not by itself confer a clinical license or certification; graduates typically build on the clinical credential earned through their prior allied health associate program.

Expect a focused, professional-oriented experience that builds on the clinical or technical background you already have. You will take one class at a time in four-week terms, allowing you to concentrate fully on each subject while balancing work and personal commitments. Coursework is discussion- and application-driven, emphasizing real-world healthcare challenges in financing, policy, ethics, leadership, and quality improvement.

Because the program is offered online, on campus, and in hybrid formats, you can choose the delivery mode that fits your life, with support from faculty in small classes (about a 14:1 ratio). Plan to complete roughly 60 credit hours over about 20 months, applying concepts from research methods, epidemiology, and program planning to practical projects that mirror the responsibilities of healthcare managers and educators.
