Golf Management

The program is built on Keiser University's one-class-at-a-time model, with each class taught over a four-week term and new classes starting every month. Students take a single focused course at a time, supported by small classes and an approximately 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio.

The degree requires 60 credit hours across 13 courses and is typically completed in about 20 months (roughly 16-24 months depending on pace and transfer credit). It is offered on-campus, fully online, and in hybrid formats, with day, evening, and online options at select campuses. On-campus and hybrid students train year-round and play at premier golf facilities, and the program incorporates hands-on lab work with golf training equipment; there is no separate externship or clinical requirement.

The 60-credit-hour curriculum combines major golf management courses with general education requirements, covering everything from swing and instruction fundamentals to tournament management, course maintenance, and the business of golf. The full course sequence is listed below.

Required Courses

Tuition is charged per 16-week semester based on scheduled credit hours. A full-time schedule (12-17.99 credits) is approximately $12,408 per semester (Keiser Undergraduate Tuition & Fee Disclosure; subject to annual review). Completing the 60-credit degree on a full-time schedule generally spans about four semesters, for an estimated program tuition of roughly $49,600. A one-time $55 application fee and a one-time $145 registration fee also apply at enrollment. As a hands-on golf program, some courses may carry additional resource or lab fees; students should confirm any program-specific fees with financial services, as these are subject to annual review.

Financial aid is available for those who qualify. Options include federal Pell Grants, FSEOG, Direct Subsidized and Unsubsidized Loans, Direct PLUS Loans, and Federal Work-Study; Florida student aid such as FSAG and EASE; institutional scholarships; and veterans' and military education benefits. Graduates are prepared for entry-level and support positions across the golf industry, in settings such as private and public golf clubs, resorts, municipal courses, driving ranges and training centers, and golf retail and equipment operations. Common roles include assistant golf professional, golf instructor, tournament and event coordinator, pro shop or retail manager, club fitting and equipment sales specialist, player development or junior golf coordinator, and golf operations or facility staff.

The associate degree also builds a foundation for advancement into golf course and club management and for continued study toward a bachelor's degree in golf or sport management. College of Golf graduates earn credits that count toward the requirements for PGA membership, supporting those pursuing a professional pathway in the industry. There is no state licensure requirement for these roles.

Expect a focused, hands-on program that moves one class at a time through four-week terms, letting you concentrate on a single subject while steadily building both playing and business skills. You will alternate between classroom study of golf history, rules, instruction, and management topics and applied practice using state-of-the-practice training equipment.

On-campus and hybrid students take advantage of Florida's year-round golf climate to practice and play at premier facilities, while online students complete the same competency-based coursework in a flexible format. Throughout the program you will learn from faculty with real-world PGA management, player development, and tournament operations experience, and you will graduate with credits that count toward PGA membership and toward a bachelor's degree if you choose to continue.
