What campuses offer financial aid?
All Lincoln Tech campuses offer federal financial aid assistance for those that qualify.
How do I apply for financial aid?
You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Before starting the FAFSA form, you’ll need to create a StudentAid.gov account. Your contributors, anyone required to provide information on your FAFSA form, (your spouse, your biological or adoptive parent, or your parent’s spouse) will each need their own StudentAid.gov account too, which should be created before they enter the FAFSA form. Important Note: You and your contributor(s) will need different email addresses when creating StudentAid.gov accounts.
Why do I have to include my parent information on the FAFSA?
This is a requirement if you are considered a dependent student. For more information on federal dependency guidelines, click here.
My parents are divorced. Who do I include on the FAFSA?
You should include the parent that has provided you the most financial support in the last 12 months (and may not necessarily be the one that you live with). If you are unsure which parent to report, the FAFSA will offer a parent wizard to make that determination.
What happens after I complete my FAFSA?
Once you have submitted your FAFSA, the Department of Education will process it and send the results to both you and the schools you selected. Once processed, you will receive your FAFSA Submission Summary (FSS) with your Student Aid Index (SAI), which determines your eligibility for federal aid programs. Your school will provide a Funding Estimate once the FAFSA is reviewed.
Why am I receiving requests for additional documents?
All required documents must be submitted to the Financial Aid Office before your aid can disburse to your student account. Please respond to any requests for additional documentation timely in order to avoid any delays in disbursement of funds.
What if I have extenuating circumstances that are not adequately reflected on my FAFSA?
If you have had recent financial or household changes, please contact the Financial Aid Office at your school to discuss your circumstances.
