Master Automotive Service Technology 2

The purpose of the Automotive Service Technology II Program is to prepare students for employment and/or specialized training in the automotive industry.

This program offers a sequence of courses that provides coherent and rigorous content aligned with challenging academic standards and relevant technical knowledge and skills needed to prepare for further education and careers in the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster; provides technical skill proficiency, and includes competency-based applied learning that contributes to the academic knowledge, higher-order reasoning and problem-solving skills, work attitudes, general employability skills, technical skills, and occupation-specific skills, and knowledge of all aspects of the Transportation, Distribution and Logistics career cluster.

The content includes but is not limited to broad, transferable skills and stresses understanding and demonstration of the following elements of the Automotive industry; planning, management, finance, technical and product skills, underlying principles of technology, labor issues, community issues and health, safety, and environmental issues.

• Submit an application.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.
• Interview with a guidance counselor or department chairperson and/or instructor.
• Pass a driving test.
• Take initial assessment in reading, mathematics, and language within six weeks of entering the program.
• Have a high school diploma.
• Be 18 to 25 years old.
• Applicants seeking admission into the Master Automotive 2 program must have successfully completed the Master Automotive 1 program.
