• The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is designed for licensed registered nurses (RNs) seeking to advance their professional qualifications.

• Upon completion, students will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree. Graduates of the program will have a broader understanding of the nursing profession and will bring that understanding to the practice of nursing in their places of employment.
• Graduates will be prepared to assume leadership and management roles. The program will prepare registered nurses to care for patients in a variety of settings, including acute, long-term care, community, and public health clinics.

• Completed Lone Star College Application for Admission/Readmission, transcripts, forms, and satisfaction of the general institutional admission requirements.
• Completed Lone Star College Supplemental Application for Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
• Completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.25 or higher from degree evaluated for admission
• Core Complete + PSYC 2314 + BIOL 2420/BIOL 2421
• Current, unencumbered Texas RN license or Enhanced Compact License to practice in Texas
• Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program is competitive, based on such factors as GPA, completion of lower division coursework, and work history. Not all students who meet the minimum requirements stated above may be admitted into this program.
• Conditional Acceptance Statements:
• Full-time students may be conditionally accepted if they have two or fewer core classes remaining; these classes must be completed by graduation
• Part-time students may be conditionally accepted if they have four or fewer core classes remaining; these classes must be completed by graduation.
• Students must obtain licensure as an RN within the first 8-week session of the program.

• This award requires 120 credit hours in total.

• Out-of-district Texas residents pay $249.00 per credit hour ($29,880.00); international and out-of-state students pay $313.00 per credit hour ($37,560.00).
• Lab fees vary by course and liability insurance, uniforms and supplies vary by program, so Lone Star College publishes no all-in total for this award. Tuition above excludes them.
• Financial aid and payment plans are available to most students.
