FINANCIAL AID

Our Financial Aid Department will assist you in determining your eligibility and which types of financial aid may be available to you. Our beauty school offers the Federal Pell Grant, as well as the Federal Stafford Subsidized Loan and Federal Stafford Unsubsidized Loan. Federal student aid from the U.S. Department of Education Federal Aid is money to help you pay your education expenses at a college, career school, university, or graduate school. There is more than $250 billion in available funds for those who qualify.

  STUDENT FINANCIAL AID & TRADE SCHOOL GRANTS

  Many students wonder how to pay for college when federal student aid or loans do not meet all of a student’s financial needs. There are additional student financial aid programs that do not typically make up a substantial portion of a student’s aid package and may not be available to all students. However, for students that do qualify, they may be of significant benefit. Long Island Nail Skin & Hair Institute strongly urges all of our students to take a little time and contact the individual programs and do a little research on the internet, or at your local library, to learn about these lesser known programs.

  FINANCIAL AID FOR VETERANS: VA BENEFITS

  VA Benefits are available to most military veterans depending on their service and their participation in VA Education programs. There are also programs for children of deceased veterans (killed in the line of duty), and the children of veterans with service-related disabilities. Eligibility is based on criteria established by the Veteran’s Administration, including the length of service, number of dependents and the student’s enrollment status.   FEDERAL AID TO NATIVE AMERICANS

  Educational benefits are available to students who are Alaska Natives, enrolled members of a federally recognized American Indian tribe, or at least ¼ degree American Indian blood descendant of a federally recognized tribe. Most Native American financial aid programs are based on financial need and the availability of funds. Eligibility is determined and administered by your tribal government and may be awarded in successive years based on the student’s satisfactory academic progress. Information and applications are available from the education office of the tribe with which you are affiliated. Native American financial aid information is also available from the Bureau of Indian Education, Washington, D.C. 20245.
