A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a vital role in patient care by providing hands-on support to patients under the supervision of a licensed nurse.
A CNA often serves as the primary point of contact for patients, offering emotional support, addressing immediate physical needs, and assisting with activities of daily living. The Nursing Assistant program is designed for students to receive their certification by completing coursework in classroom, lab, and 24 hours of hands-on clinical experience.
Students receive training in body systems, infection prevention, proper body mechanics, residents rights, recognizing and reporting changes, safety, and communication. Students will be certified in First Aid and CPR.
