Admission Criteria 1st Step Admission Criteria: • Successfully complete applicable placement testing and pre-admission advising • Complete all prerequisites required and achieved a grade “C” or higher • Complete PN Predictor Exam • Complete immunization record with documentation of ALL required immunizations • Proof of active Kansas LPN license with no disciplinary action against license 2nd Step Admission Criteria: (after accepted into program)(do not proceed with these steps before nursing orientation) • Attend ADN Nursing Orientation. • Complete TB skin test (contact Student Services regarding the time frame) • Complete Background Check • BLS Certificate • Signed Health Insurance pledge • Complete physical (health history form) for program Program Requirements - Clinical Participation • Students must maintain a minimum of a C (78%) in all courses • Students are expected to attend classes. A student is also expected to have very little clinical absence. The amount of clinical make-up may be determined by the clinical instructor. Students are expected to be at the clinical site, prepared to deliver care at the scheduled time. A student is expected to notify the clinical site when absent. Note: • It is strongly recommended that students work a limited number of hours due to the heavy course load required by this program. • Students are responsible for their own transportation to clinicals. • Background and drug testing may be conducted.
