Program Overview

The Commercial Driver’s License program provides professional driver training with both classroom theory discussion and in-vehicle hands-on training time. This course is designed to meet the Entry-Level Driver Training (ELDT) requirements set forth by the Federal Motor Carrier Administration (FMCSA) and the Utah Department of Transportation (DOT). Students will complete a range of driver competencies and become safe, comfortable, confident, law-abiding drivers. Students will become prepared to take the State of Utah driving skills tests for the Class A combination vehicle such as a tractor & trailer with air brakes. A student who completes the CDL certificate will be able to do the following.
