From the 2026–2027 School Catalog. The Electrical Lineworker (EL) program contains six (6) courses, 15 weeks, and 16.5 semester credit hours. The EL program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment in the field of utility power transmission and distribution construction, troubleshooting, and commercial electrical maintenance and repair. The curriculum includes Climbing in Elevated Work Site (Pole Climbing), Overhead Construction, Underground Construction, System Design and Operation, National Electric Safety Code, AC and DC Circuits, and Electric Power. Competencies in this curriculum were developed to coincide with the National standards for electric power generation, distribution, and transmission industry as described in the United States Department of Labor Occupational Safety and Health Administration. Students will have the opportunity to qualify for OSHA-10 certification. Upon successful completion of this program, students will receive a Diploma.

However, TWS does utilize a hybrid learning model where outside of in-person lab work and instruction, students are able to complete the theoretical portion of classes online. What will I receive at the end of the program?
Once you have successfully completed your educational program, you may be awarded either a diploma or degree upon completion of the entire program. Missouri residents completing a non-degree program will earn a Certificate of Completion in lieu of a Diploma.
Can my credits be transferred to or from TWS?
Credits earned at Tulsa Welding School (TWS) may not transfer to another educational institution. Credits earned at another educational institution may not be accepted by Tulsa Welding School. You should obtain confirmation that Tulsa Welding School will accept any credits you have earned at another educational institution before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. You should also contact any educational institutions that you may want to transfer credits earned at Tulsa Welding School prior to executing an enrollment contract or agreement. The ability to transfer credits from Tulsa Welding School to another educational institution may be very limited. Your credits may not transfer and you may have to repeat courses previously taken at Tulsa Welding School if you enroll in another educational institution. You should never assume that credits will transfer to or from any educational institution. It is highly recommended and you are advised to make certain that you know the transfer of credit policy of Tulsa Welding School and of any other educational institutions you may in the future want to transfer the credits earned at Tulsa Welding School before you execute an enrollment contract or agreement. Graduates of the Associate of Occupational Studies degree program can apply to transfer their credits to the University of Phoenix (UOP) under an articulation agreement between the two institutions. What does my tuition include?
The tuition cost for each program does not include funds for course materials, textbooks, lab feeds, gear package, accident insurance, and technology fees. Those on active duty and veterans pay less tuition and may be eligible for military educational benefits. Course Materials/Textbooks, Lab Fees, Gear Packages, Accident Insurance and Technology Fee is included in the program’s overall cost.
Is there a refund policy?
The student may cancel their enrollment at any time by submitting notice, preferably in writing, of cancellation to the Admissions Department. Their money shall be fully refunded if requested within 72 hours (until midnight of the third day excluding Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays) after signing an Enrollment Agreement and paying a registration fee or larger amount.
